Y’all, my little author heart is BROKEN!
I got an email from Jenna Bush Hager offering to spotlight SOME BOYS! This award-winning novel was published back in 2014 and thinking that a celebrity was interested in featuring it all these years later made me wonder, is this too good to be true?
So…I investigated. I contacted Jenna’s team at the Today Show and they verified — it’s another scam. Celebrity hosts won’t contact you via email. And they won’t ask you for money (This Jenna asked me for $450! I know this because I did reply.)
If you are a legitimate book club or book reviewer, I’m happy to work with you!
Here’s the email, so you can be forewarned. Legitimate professionals won’t reach out through a gmail account and won’t ask for money.
Another hard lesson.
