Chocolate Sunday – 10/9/11

Posted Oct 9 2011, 9:06 pm in , , , ,

My 16 year-old is ill this weekend and sad about it. We’d planned to visit Manhattan tomorrow. So, to cheer him up, I am combing my recipes for an easy chocolate dessert that I can eat, too, without undoing my diet success to date.

I settled on this recipe – a Christmas favorite. They’re called Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies and taste a lot like a brownie with a cherry on top. The recipe calls for a chocolate covering but my son likes them better with the cherry on top of the chocolate frosting. Either way works well.

Enjoy!

  1. They sound kind of nice. Hope your boy enjoys them and feels better soon.

Aw, sorry your boy is sick. Hope he feels better soon. I know your chocolate covered cherry cookies would work better than chicken soup for me — they sound delicious!

My fudge has become famous. I do a couple of different versions. Plain fudge. (That is hysterical to me. As if Fudge could ever be plain.) Orange -cranberry fudge. Peppermint Fudge. Cherry Almond Fudge and

I go all out and bake at Xmas so I make enough for family and friends. Now my mouth is watering and I am thinking Halloween might be a good time for some fudge.
